Louis Vuitton Series 3 – Past, Present, Future
With it being Fashion Week season it only seemed appropriate for Nicolas Ghesquière, the Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton, to create a masterpiece exhibition and showcase the evolution of his third season’s collection at the helm of Louis Vuitton.
When entering the futuristic exhibition you are quickly taken away to a world far from London. The exhibition keeps you on edge, never knowing what to expect in the next room but every room seeming better than the last. The latest season is showcased before your eyes on various screens which circle you. Let your dreams run free when you get to the Walk-In Wardrobe, with the embellished clothes and accessories dripping off hangers from entrance to exit.
The exhibition also celebrates the release of the Petite Malle, with two women flown over from the workshop in Asnières-sur-Seine in France. Watch their intricate craftsmanship through 3 cameras whilst they piece together the mini trunks, and deliberate whether your wallet can take it or just count down the days till pay-day.
The exhibition is definitely worth a see even for those non-LV fans. Embrace the slightly weird and ambiguous feel of the space whilst the team behind Louis Vuitton take you away from London and to world of Ghesquière’s Series 3.
The exhibition is free and will run until October 18th.
